-inspiring stores,
-free Japanese nibbles
-hearing about people's experience's in Japan (especially about Wellington's sister city Sakai)
-hanging out with like-minded people?

Then come along to this Wellington Sakai Association event next Wednesday 18 May from 6:30pm at the Wellington City Council (Committee Room Two) building on Wakefield Street. Be sure to RSVP to secretary@wellingtonsakai.org as nibbles will be provided and spaces are limited!

The Wellington - Sakai sister-city relationship was established in 1994. Sakai is a port city within Osaka prefecture, which hosts the Senshu International City Marathon. The Sakai city government has hosted a Wellington resident to run in the Senshu marathon as an ambassador for Wellington since 1994. In February’s event Wellington runner Tim Sutton finished second in the race in 2hrs 44min!

The Senshu marathon runs through Sakai and the other ten districts of the south part of Osaka, which used to be called ‘Senshu’. Around 4000 runners participate to the marathon.

WSA will also be announcing an exciting new step in the Wellington-Sakai sister-city running relationship!
