Debbie Donnelly from Whitireia (Visual arts and design, applied textiles) will give a talk on "Shibori and Contemporary Japanese Textile Arts".
Shibori is a Japanese tie-dyeing technique. Debbie is a member of the World Shibori Network and has her own textile business KIAJA.
This event is being held on the Mezzanine level meeting room at Wellington City Library, in conjunction with the "TOHOKU Through the Eyes of Japanese Photographers" photo exhibition running in the Mezzanine floor from 3 June - 2 July (see separate event listing for more details).
